Light or dark, good or bad, hero or villain. How do we determine which is which? If someone sacrifices thousands of lives to save the millions, don’t we consider them a hero? But if someone sacrifices the millions to save the thousands, they’re automatically the villain. Are we so narrow-minded we can’t see the in-between? Nothing is truly one or the other. The in-between exists. It’s not always light or dark. The light and dark combine and cast shadows. Some are darker, some are lighter, but they’re shadows, nonetheless. It’s not always good or bad. Sometimes a good person can do bad things and a bad person can do good things. It’s not always hero versus villain. Sometimes innocents get hurt in the crossfire of the hero and sometimes innocents are saved by the villain. Let’s stop being so narrow-minded and start seeing the in-between.
